The southern Bali peninsula is considered to be one of the most favorite tourist destinations for beach holiday. Here you can enjoy not only the experience of playing with white sand and blue water itself but also other attractions known to only exist in Bali such as the highly-esteemed Uluwatu Temple and Garuda Wisnu Kencana. We will also take you to the secluded Padang-padang beach before wrapping up your day filled-up by the succulent seafood menu at the Jimbaran Bay.
1.Garuda Wisnu Kencana
A large complex of giant statues known for hosting multitude of international-scale festivals. Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park was built around limestone hills 12 kilometers south of the Airport. The landmark – a giant statue of Lord Vishnu riding the mythical bird Garuda – is currently undergoing development phase and will stand out tremendously at 120 meters tall when finished.
2.Padang-padang Beach
Isolated by shady hills and rugged limestone cliffs, the Padang Padang Beach has earned a place in pro surfers’ heart. Although offering less than ideal entry point compared to other famous beaches in southern Bali, the secluded beaching experience will rightfully ensure none of your effort go waste.
3.Uluwatu Temple
One of the most revered temples in Balinese Hinduism where the locals worship the Almighty God in His manifestation as Lord Rudra. Uluwatu Temple is also renowned for its outstanding location being atop 97-meter cliff which provides extraordinary view to Indian Ocean. Those who are keen for swimming and surfing may go down to Pecatu beach located just beneath the temple. Along with Tanah Lot, Uluwatu has long become tourist-favorite for sunset delights.
4.Kecak & Fire Dance
To add to its important spiritual status and beauty, at Uluwatu Temple the visitors also have the chance to watch Kecak and fire dance performance organized before night. You will be sitting at the theatre seat witnessing both the dance performance and the panoramic sunset towards Indian ocean.
5.Seafood Dinner at Jimbaran
Jimbaran Bay provides a perfect spot to wrap up your day after tirelessly moving along the southern coastal beaches in Bali. You will have the opportunity to savor seafood dinner – freshly sourced from local fishermen – while overlooking the sunset at the Indian Ocean by sitting around the white sand.
