Nusa Penida is a secluded island located southeast of Bali. The tourism infrastructure is not yet overly developed on this island. However, here at Penida Tours, we strive to offer tours of Nusa Penida which will showcase the natural beauty and culture of the island. Our tours are conducted in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. We travel lightly, reducing our impact on the land and maintaining harmonious relationsips with the locals of Nusa Penida.
1. Atuh Beach
Atuh Beach, or Pantai Atuh, is a hidden beach on the remote south-eastern coast of Nusa Penida island. The beach is secluded by magnificent green cliffs, while various limestone rock formations surround it, adding to the beauty of the area. The white sand beach itself is accessible via a purpose-built stairway, or you can try the narrow tracks along a rugged cliff face if you’re feeling adventurous. The beach is great for relaxing with a spectacular view. However, the waters aren’t always swimmable.
2. Thousand Island (Pulau Seribu)
Thousand Island (Pulau Seribu) Viewpoint is located on the east coast of Nusa Penida Island. The viewpoint is one of the attractions on the island and looks along the beautiful coast of Nusa Penida. It’s not far from the famous Atuh Beach and it could be a good idea to combine these two spots into one day!
3. Tree House (Rumah Pohon) Melonteng
Rumah Pohon Molenteng, or the Nusa Penida Treehouse, is one of the most noticeable accommodations on the island. So we had to swing by and visit the magical place we’d seen online. It’s fair to say Rumah Pohon Treehouse is definitely one of the most random yet beautiful spots we’ve come across on our travels.
4. Teletubbies Hill
The name Teletubbies’ Hills is given spontaneously by the visiting tourists, it is merely because of the similarity of its location with the residence of the Teletubbies in television show. As you can see, the mound of the green hills adorning the hills and the close distance between the hills that form semicircle. Even though the hills are made up of limestone, but there is a layer thin of soil so that the grass may grow on it giving the beautiful green nuance in Teletubbies’ Hills.
